This book offers you enough clues to research stocks to know in which companies to invest. It's not a predefined formula, rather you have to make your own choice based on the research that you've done and your risk appetite. This book was written in 1987, so don't expect any advice on internet search for information or links, but you can easily figure where to get what. Although this book has my praise I take the author's view on shorting stocks, stop loss, options and futures with a grain of salt. He admitted that he didn't know much about futures and options, yet devoted a lot of pages trying to convince the reader to stay away from these instruments. This is the first release and I know there is an updated version in which perhaps he revised his views. The last chapter could have been left out in my opinion, but all in all a good read that you can take action on. The only drawback was that I read it ont phone and the charts were too small and there was no way to enlarge them. It was not a deal breaker as the explanations were vivid enough. The text had a lot of jokes that were not out of scope and I was delighted by the fact that the author didn't have an "I know it all because I run a nine billion dollar fund" air. It was a pleasant read from start to finish.
