Pretty good book. I remembered it from my childhood and thought we should revisit it with my kiddos. PROS: vocabulary is robust and context for those words is good the discussion afterward about what they would wish for is entertaining moral is to be content with what you already have and valuing your family as most important CONS: The long explanation of the sadness of parents losing a child (I suppose it might help kids understand how sad their parents might be and how they need to move on afterward, but seems mature content given the target child age range).
