In Christopher Moore's typical zany, imaginative, and yet touching style, he brings to life the science of studying Humpback whales in Fluke. The concepts are unique, the science is real (most of it), and the characters are interesting and fun. I love that he makes me laugh out loud, and then pause to think, pretty constantly. I liked Lamb better, but as books not penned by Moore go, this is a good one. I recommend it for fans of contemporary fiction, behavior science research, humpback whales, science fiction (that doesn't take place outside of this world), and Hawaii.
