Love this series and certainly hope there are more seasons! That being said, this episode had a couple of very unlikeable characters. The main one was Olivia, the mother of the Nigerian girl who was being trafficked. Even though she gave up her children when they were young and had had no contact for 18 years, she shows up in Shetland and creates havoc playing the heartbroken mother looking for her son, who was murdered, and daughter who is still missing. Constantly accusing the police of doing nothing, not caring, etc. etc. etc., I found her to be an irritating and detracting character who needed to be bitch-slapped and sent packing. The other annoying person is a recurring character, Rhona, the head of the office. Her main purpose is to appear, criticize everyone else's efforts, make demands and otherwise offer no substantive help. Still, all in all, the story and plot (as another commentator noted, a social issue de jour) were interesting. Hands down, Doug Henshall is a tremendously talented character actor and carries the series. I like Tosh, too, as well as the rest of the office.
