A handcrafted classic tale of childhood wonder, 'Alice's Adventures in Wonderland' is a dream filled story about a young girl's perspective of her life as well as life itself and the logistics around it. Much to the imagination, this story shows that children grow up in their own ways and in their own time. In her own time, Alice then comes out of her 'dream' with the wish that things were normal again, while at the beginning she wanted things to be different from the life she was living. You can undoubtedly tell that this was written in a different era, and children, and some adults, might have trouble with the wording of the sentences and some of the more obscure ones that have fallen out of use in context, but if you can get past that, it's a charming book that will ignite the nostalgia and imagination of any who read it. I would suggest that any who love a good adventure and those who want to recapture their childhood wonder should read this work. I definitely did! Rating: 5 out of 5. @PocketFullOfBooks22 Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll was originally published in 1865. I remember when I was watching the movie, (which I never do until I have read the book) and I really enjoyed it. There were a few differences from the movie but while reading the book, I realized that it was sort of dark to be considered a children’s book with many mentionings of being beheaded by the red queen. However this book is pretty suitable for both kids and adults because adults can think back on this classic and this is something that can entertain the kids. This book is less than a hundred pages so if you have an hour or two, depending on how fast you read, this is the perfect book to read. - @ShayReads of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
