I may not have given this story 5 stars, but when I read a book by this author, I cannot deny that she is a fabulous writer. Her stories are amazingly developed in character and story. I Owe You One was no different and while I might not have enjoyed some of what Fixie had to go through as she gained her backbone, I still found the overall story compelling and entertaining. I knew she would get her comeuppance, but it was psychologically grueling for me to watch her being walked on and not taking a personal stand. It's all in the name of a good story arc, but my personality type wanted to shake her, her family, and a few others. I really enjoyed the sweetly written, slow burn romance with its creative start and how it developed over time. That and the wonderful conclusion made all the character frustration worth it. As for the audio, which listened to interchangeably along with reading the ebook, it was very well done. I'm not sure if I've listened to this particular narrator before, but she did a wonderful job.
