Oh, I really wanted to get into this book. I have read books by SMW and her stories are 'charming' and can help the reader connect with real- life emotions-- so long as you can look beyond the endless sap. Also, her heroines are usually given to quite the theatrical performance. Sigh. This book is no exception. Expect drama early on from the oh-so-sensitive heroine and this time a stellar performance from the perfectly gorgeous but "very moody" hero. And then of course, buckets of sap follow. Expected and typical. I decided that my time with this book had to come to a forced end. Unfortunately for me, I just completed literature that was far better so it adversely dimmed my view of what I believe would have been an enjoyable read. (Still, I believe this book is overrated.) Anyway, you might enjoy it. That's if you don't read a more superb book first.
