Hugs is a really sweet story. I think that the lessons are important for everyone, not only kids, as we often take advantage of, or stay angry at, people who truly love us. The story has to do with Thea, who gets angry with her mom, and then goes for a walk with her brother, looking for hugs from neighbourhood animals (which, as you can imagine, aren’t very comfortable). By the end, Thea reconciles with her mom, and realizes that her mother gives the best hugs. I felt that this story was really meaningful, and heart-warming, and I think it would be touching to many other people, as well. I would definitely recommend that you give this book a try, especially with younger audiences. @PenelopeScriptor of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
