Rarely is the second book as good as the first in a series - but I might have liked this one even more than Sanctus. A very fast-paced, enjoyable read. Simon Toyne is being compared to Dan Brown. With the amount of research Dan Brown puts into his books I don't consider them quite on the same tier...yet. However, I really enjoy the enigmatic psuedo-history fictions. DO READ SANCTUS BEFORE YOU READ THIS ONE. I don't believe you would enjoy this book without reading Sanctus first.
