So, Inheritance. This was the book I had been looking forward to from the moment I finished Eragon, and I was not disappointed. Eragon and the other characters have really grown and changed throughout the story, and I feel like all the character arcs were sorted out nicely.
One of the things I liked about this book is that at the end, there are still mysteries in Alagaësia. I'm not going to name anything, but I have read books that tied up everything, leaving nothing to speculate about, or anything for future generations of characters to try to solve. That's one of the things that made Alagaësia feel real.
I'm sad it's over, but I look forward to reading it again!

The final book in the Inheritance cycle. The finally have begun to lay siege to Galbatorix’s strongholds in full force. When an enemy dragon rider and once ally, Murtagh and his dragon, Thorn, defend the city of Dras Leona, Eragon and his allies are forced to come up with a plan to open the main gate without a direct confrontation. Afterwards, Eragon and his dragon Saphira seek out a prophecy relayed to them in the first book. At the end of his series Paolini accumulated a lot of skills within his work and writings. The differences between his first book and his last are drastic and blatant. Character development improved greatly throughout the finale where you can see Eragon and Roran change mentaly. Though the ending does seem cliche, it was good to at least see an author have an ending already planned out when starting a series. This is truly one of my favorite books of all time. It’s an incredible end to an incredible series, full of magic and heroism. No character nor facet of the plot is left incomplete, though a few loose ends do exist, which suggests a sequel possibly even beyond the novellas that were recently released. Eragon and Saphira full out one last chapter of their quest to vanquish the powerful and corrupt king, Galbatorix. This book is incredible in every way, and the magic is unique and captivating. 10/10.

What makes this book great is.. everything. Like the other books in the series, it builds up Eragon’s world while tweaking previous facts in ways that add to it. All of the characters are amazing and well-developed, as is the plot. But what I love the most about it is that it is so much longer than a book should reasonably be, and yet you can not notice it; it does not feel like a long book when you are reading it! That and it is a really good ending. It wraps up all of the main plot points, making it a satisfying end to the series. And yet, a few loose ends are intentionally left, which makes me super-excited for another book! But either way, I can now say that Christopher Paolini is now my favourite author, and all because of the Inheritance Cycle. Ten out of ten, easy. @R2-D2 of the Hamilton Public Library Teen Review Board

If Roran had a dragon and magical powers he would be SOOOOO much better than Eragon. Angila is the best.

The ending to the Inheritance Cycle, and a true must read.

You can see how much Eragon has changed since the first book, more confident, strong, wiser, and more mature. It is very deep, and has a twist that might be obvious, but is also surprising. The ending chapters were not as active as the rest of the book, but being the end of the series, it's understandable that it would be slower paced. Still a magnificent book and series. The ending is so sad. I almost cry just thinking about it.

I dearly want Christopher Paolini to write another book including Eragon, Saphira, Arya, and Firnen, even if they are only secondary characters. Like teachers. And of course Angela would be there.

It is a beautiful series, and the world of Alagaesia needs to be explored more, it is too magnificent to be forgotten.

I did find some misspellings and grammar errors, but it is an 849 page book, what can you expect?

Before he could suggest a new topic, a loud scream rang out from some where in the middle of the camp. The cry echoed three times over the rows of tents before fading into silence.
Eragon looked at Angela, and she at him, and they both began to laugh.
