Educational and fun! Take it from someone who knows a thing or two about science, like Dr. Kaku; this book is the future. Certain things may be more or less accurate, and some are even outlandish, but this book is better researched than others like it. I for one look forward to the future.

Personally, I expect our future to look a little more like Blade Runner and a little less like Meet the Robinsons.

Author Michio Kaku gives the reader a fascinating glimpse into what our daily lives may look like in 30 years, in 60 years and in 100 years. Don’t be intimidated by the title. Written for the layperson, the book explains what physicists are working towards in such fields as robotics, space travel, nanotechnology, medicine, and computers. Can you imagine wearing contact lenses that hook you up to the internet, or having a chip implanted that will alert doctors to the first signs of cellular change or disease? Don’t miss this book! Kaku does a great job of explaining scientific concepts and theories in a way that the lay person can understand. The premises in this book are speculative (hence the title) but given how fast scientific gains have been made in the past, it is fascinating to muse on what may lay ahead.

On a personal level, Prof. Kaku is a very likeable, intelligent fellow, but on an objective level, especially when he starts pontificating on global finance and economics (has he read ANYTHING about these subjects?) he sounds like a complete idiot! Similarly, when he goes off on his futurist rants he simply doesn't come across as particularly believable. Sure, we all hope for utopia, but the banking cartel and their minions appear to have different goals and agendas.

I seen this guy not too long ago straddeling like he was a bit estranged. I wanted to help because he is important to society, so I thought to myself since he's the emperor of String Theory, maybe we should take him to a string concerto?

Not very impressive. There's very little science in this, just a lot of stuff you've probably already heard about written obviously not by the "author" and whose audience is apparently maybe 12 years old. Take a critical look at the content of this book; you'll agree. Oh by the way, the author is a famous physicist. Now assess it again.
