Master of Reality continues the same monotony and heavy tones as Sabbath's first two albums. This continues to work well, although some people definitely thought they were getting stale at this point, but others like myself disagree. The guitars got heavier and this album was shorter than the rest of their works. This album also spawned multiple more metal subgenres, like stoner metal with the opening song "Sweet Leaf", and with songs like "Children of the Grave" influencing the sounds of bands like Iron Maiden. Master of Reality would turn out to be just as influential on the world of metal music as their first two albums were, and there fore this is another obvious must listen for any metal fan. - @ecozones of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public LIbrary
