This is the only book I have read by Donald Miller and the only one I probably ever will. I don't want to taint it. He talks about life and Jesus and God and Bicycles and painful things like writing and girlfriends. The God thing made me squirm a bit. I am just being honest. I decided to buy it on the Amazon beast, thought better of it, and then bought it instead from 3rd Place Books, so I could read it again and underline things like man. :) merci bien kcls

Having written an autobiographical piece that is now being turned into a screenplay, Donald Miller begins a renewed vigor for life as he begins looking at his own from the other side of a Movie Script. Of particular interest was the concept of looking at your life as a story you're telling, and applying the storytelling technique to your own tale.

I've read other Donald Miller books and enjoyed them; however I felt that this book was fairly pointless and made Miller seem egotistical. I wouldn't recommend.

Another great book by Donald Miller and I loved his analogy of life as a story. It resonated with me and I am now rereading this book. I am enjoying it just as much this time around.

Great little book. Donald Miller is funny, poignant and thought provoking as he encourages potatoes to leave their couches and get on with a nobler life. It made me want to be more than I am.
