"Australia, the Beautiful" is, without a doubt, one of the very best documentaries (showcasing this particular location in the world) that I have ever seen.

From Australia's gorgeous white-sanded beaches, to its beautiful, exotic plant-life, to its fascinating and unique wildlife - After watching this first-rate documentary, I am now, more than ever, eager to visit this incredibly diverse continent in the not too distant future.

When it came to this excellent production (which was filmed in lush Technicolor) - It was so obvious to see that no cost was spared in order to give the viewer one of the most satisfying and awesome 3-hour tours of Australia that they could ever expect to get from the total comfort of their very favourite easy-chair.

*Attention, all you nature lovers!* - When they called this documentary-DVD "Australia, the Beautiful", they certainly weren't kidding around.

From Australia's gorgeous coastline, to its lush wetlands and unique deserts, to its awesome mountain ranges, and beyond - This magnificently-photographed, 3-part, 3-hour DVD (covering all regions of Australia) is probably about the next best thing to actually visiting this impressive continent in person.

From one fascinating and extraordinary sight to another, this documentary is not only a feast for the eyes, but it's literally brimming over with all sorts of interesting and educational info regarding Australia's exotic assortment of plant-life, wildlife and sea-life. (My very favourite critter from this "Down Under" documentary was the curious-looking, duck-billed platypus)

Presented through the Reader's Digest Association (with narration by John Waters - No. Not the US film-maker), I highly recommend this DVD to one and all. I'd definitely say that it was very deserving of its 4-star rating.

I'm always pleasantly surprised by Reader's Digest travelogues and Australia The Beautiful does not disappoint.
