Alderman's Potty Mouth Runs During Conduct Debate

Lethbridge Aldermen should have discussed a new conduct policy at the start of Tuesday's council meeting, instead of near the end. Ald. Joe Mauro might have benefited from an earlier debate. He swore under his breath while Mayor Bob Tarleck was explaining council rules of procedure. A short time later, council discussed and unanimously approved its new Code of Leadership and Service which, as Ald. Barbara Lacey pointed out, is a code of conduct for council members. The Code of Leadership and Service was developed during council's retreat in Great Falls earlier this month.
