Good album by Beck, one of the handful of mainstream pop artists I have respect for.
This album is like a lot of his past, post 90s work: Chill vibes that don't fully dive into ambient territory, with just enough beat and atmosphere to merge nicely without being full-on, obnoxious bubble-gum pop.
His vocals are as usual, although he attempts the current style of "mumblecore rap" delivery on a few songs, which honestly makes him seem like the 55 year old woman wearing skinny bedazzled jeans, at times. Luckily it's sort of an endearing aspect vs annoying, but yeah, awkward.
The bass on this album and production over-all is really well done, and the only song I didn't care for much was the second track with the country/bluesy guitar sound -- Almost like Beck trying to pander to the neo-pop-country radio crowd; Also came off as awkward.
