When you can turn the movie off part way through and debate with yourself on whether you want to even finish the movie, that speaks volumes on if this is a good movie or not. It did start out well, but just became boring and the ending... leaving you hanging about Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu characters ever being reconciled! Nothing about this movie was Oscar performance worthy.

I agree with the general consensus: It started off well and quickly lost steam. And I can’t believe anyone thought Jennifer Lopez deserved an Oscar nom for the part. Yes, she looks amazing, but nothing about this movie was exceptional. We turned it off half way through.

First, I luv Jennifer Lozpez…. I seen her on Ellen with all her bruises from training for this film... and was so so excited to see all these women do what they had to do. Well first off she only did a pole routine for hmmmm 2 min... the movie I thought was so so boring.. Just was very disappointed in this film..... People are talking and upset Jen did not get nominated for an Oscar performance... GEEEEEEEEZ I wonder why she didn't …. Yes we all have difference in opinion... IT JUST PLAIN SUCKED!

Some people think this movie should be nominated for an academy award ,but it is just not that good.It is an ok movie but it does not rate that high.

A surprisingly good movie. Very well done, not degrading or trashy. Worth a watch. Opened my eyes and has made me think differently of people who are employed at exotic clubs. We're all human, and our decisions whether wise or otherwise are always influenced by our needs/wants. Also, Jennifer Lopez is unrecognizable in this movie - she's tough - not a trace of her previous quirky romcom characters. Same can be said of Constance Wu!

If you want to see a lot of T and A and pole dancing this is the movie for you. If you want a movie with more than a predictable and simple plot skip it, it is terrible.

Entertaining Robin Hood tale with strippers taking control and advantage of (mostly) Wall St parasites. JLo deserved an Oscar nod for her ferocious turn as Ramona.

I really enjoyed this film, which is based on a true story. I especially appreciated that it depicted the complexities of these woman and what drove their decisions in life.

The story of a group of women out to beat the system and target the wealthy is compelling, and there's plenty of solid performances to go around.

Plenty of eye candies and Lopez was showing off her impressive physique in her bikinis. But the story, though supposedly with a message, was not told in an engaging fashion at all. Disappointing.

Ramona: "Motherhood is a mental illness."

Title cards at the end:

Destiny (real person named Roselyn Keo, Cambodian refugee parents) pled guilty to grand larceny and attempted assault in exchange for zero jail time.

Ramona (real person named Samantha Barbash) was sentenced to five years probation.

Mercedes and Annabelle served weekends in jail for four months and received five years probation.
Look, there's nothing I can really say to make sense of what went down. But everybody's hustling. This city... Fxck, this whole country is a strip club. You got people tossing the money... and people doing the dance.
You're new. You're fxcking gorgeous. You're Asian. It's like a triple threat.
It's ketamine and MDMA. The ketamine wipes their memory, the MDMA makes 'em happy.
