The Duchess
Camilla Parker Bowles and the Love Affair That Rocked the Crown
Large Print - 2018
"In the first in-depth biography of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall--the infamous other woman who made the marriage of Britain's Prince Charles and Princess Diana 'a bit crowded'--royal biographer Penny Junor tells the story of a woman reviled as a pariah who became the popular princess consort. Junor argues that although Camilla played a central role in the darkest days of the modern monarchy, she also played a central role in restoring the royal family's reputation, especially that of Princes Charles, the man who has always been the love of her life."--Back cover.

For those who enjoy reading about the Royal Family this new book presents another side of the story everyone thinks they know. Worth reading with an open mind for a broader understanding of this complex family and the issues they have dealt with over many years.
I tried reading this, but gave up about one third into the book. This is reported to be a book about Camilla, but the author spends a great deal of time psychoanalyzing Princess Diana and blaming her for the breakdown of her marriage to Charles.
Really interesting...not much has been formally written about Camilla before, and this is a fascinating look at her life. Understandably, there is a fair recap of information on Diana and Charles. While I have found Junor to be quite pro Charles in the past, she really tries to be objective, and the book is quite engaging. I had a hard time putting it down.
In a world gone mad, the Royal family saga continues to captivate.
