Read like near future Perry Mason/Matlock episode homage with dash of 1950s first contact trope. Ah, alien defendant have huge secret. It was over sexual reproduction rights ,but not the one Humans normally think.

This is a book that virtually reads itself. The words fly off the page and into your mind just as fast as they can. Once you start reading this book for sure you’ve got to be hooked. There’s no shilly-shallying about setting the scene or establishing personalities. The plot hits overdrive about as fast as a piece of space junk slices through the atmosphere. Sawyer’s science fiction is realistic (once you get over the concept of aliens --- chick lit this ain ‘t ); it “holds the mirror up to humanity” (in the words of one of my favorite English tutors); it speculates about the connections between our biology and our view of the world and our morality. But don’t let that scare you off readin’ this book. You gotta read this book ‘cause it’s just plain fun to read. What more justification do you need?
