Self published, very bare bones. It was written by an actual sailor who made ships in bottles while sailing the world. He did it the old-fashioned, perhaps real way, of using materials that were available aboard a ship ie. wooden matchsticks for masts and yards, and the putty and paint used for ship repair. The book also has lots of throwaway comments and paragraphs about sailor's stories and ship history. Well worth the read not just if you are interested in building ships in bottles but have any interest in ships and mariners in the last 150 years.
