The Infinite Wait and Other Stories is not a sustained narrative, but rather a collection of three short stories. The stories in this collection contain Julia Wertz's signature acerbic wit, ribald humor, and keen eye for the everyday, but they also find the cartoonist delving more deeply into the personal.

At 50+ years old I'm here to say that categorizing this book as a "teen graphic novel" does a disservice to those adults who will never grab it when they see that "teen" descriptor.

I love Julia Wertz' works. She brings to her tales an interesting and well-defined persona and stories that I enjoy reading. Perhaps nothing profound is being relayed but there's something here that keeps me turning the pages, laughing, and interested. At this point, I'll pretty much try to hunt down anything I find with her name on it. You should too.
