"Kate Donovan is burned out on work, worn down by her dating relationships, and in need of an adventure. When her grandmother asks her to accompany her to Redbud, Pennsylvania, to restore the grand old house she grew up in, Kate jumps at the chance. Upon her arrival in Redbud, Kate meets Matt Jarreau, the man hired to renovate the house. Kate can't help being attracted to him, drawn by both his good looks and something else she can't quite put her finger on. He's clearly wounded-hiding from people, from God, and from his past. Yet Kate sets her stubborn heart on bringing him out of the dark and back into the light..whether he likes it or not."--P. [4] of cover.

I've been back to reread this book several times. I love the quirky, faithful heroine and the wounded but honorable hero. I also enjoy all the supporting characters and side stories. It's a rich story, full of heart and believable struggles with faith and life.

Loved this book! It felt real, well paced, funny, exciting and very touching. I felt very identified with it, how many times we fail at trusting God. I loved how faith was very real to the main character and influenced her point of view and her decisions. I really liked it.

Good story, but a little on the slow side but interesting characters, a nice read.

Great characters. Loved how the author made the male character not the overly in touch with his emotions; a believable character if you will. Enjoyed the happy ending that comes at a price.

Fabulous love story, just the right amount of humour and faith. One of the better romance novels I have read. I would definitely recommend it!

This was one of the best books I've ever read. I was drawn into every page and found myself so involved. Highly recommend this book.
