A delightful sequel that offers readers the opportunity to watch Anne become the woman she was meant to be. Anne is now a teacher in Avonlea. She feels quite grown up, especially with the arrival of Davy and Dora. However, Anne is still…

A nice continuation of Anne. I thought this one was slightly slower than the first, but still beautiful.

This series is just like a warm, cozy blanket. It's comfortable, joyful, and stress-relieving. Anne is quirky but not so much so that she's annoying or precocious. She loves to tell stories, spend time with her friends, and dream. She…

Anne of Avonlea was a humorous book that will keep your spirits up during Coronavirus. It had many funny moments and also was very relaxing to read. I would recommend this to anyone who is 9 or older. It was written in such a way that if…

Anne of Avonlea is an amazing sequel. My only complaint is that Anne is a little dense throughout the book. 15+

How I love Anne! Some of her phrases are gradually becoming incorporated into my own everyday language. Montgomery's delightful character is endearing and genuine, seemingly flighty while also being loyal and sensible. Teenaged Anne has…

This is a wonderful continuation of Anne of Green Gables and I really enjoyed. It shows Anne's life after Queens and while she teaches as Avonlea and how she and Marilla handle Davy. I really enjoyed this book. I recommend reading it.

This is a continuation of Anne's story with all the clever and humorous dialogue that is found in the first book. The characters in this series are some of the best I have ever met.

We all love and know the young, red haired, high spirited and talkative orphan of Green Gables, Anne Shirley (Spelled with an e!). I for one was deeply saddened at the last pages of the first book to see my favourite crew of characters go,…

Anne grows up and Marilla adopts twins, Davy and Dora. Dora is a very nice girl, but Davy is quite a handful. there are also engagements and a marriage of Miss. Lavender to Mr. Irving. Review by Avonlea Gallant.

I didn't like it as much as the firt book, but it's still really interesting. If you've read the first one, definitely read this one as well. I find these books really hilarious.

I was skeptical about reading it, but wow, it was great. The characters are all so lovable that it makes you hard to put the book down.

I have read anne of avonlea at least 5 times, and loved it more and more each time! however, I did not read this particular copy, and was just looking to see if this copy is abridged (I hope not!) before I add it to a reading list.

Anne of Avonlea can be read 8 and up but perferrably I'd like to say that it might be better for the 11-19 year old group . This choice goes to the age of Anne in the book . It is also a good choice to read the books in order , here is a…

This book continues the story of Anne through her teenage years. It shows her maturing yet she hangs on to her childlike innocence. I highly recommend this to all tweens!
